MOVIE REVIEW: The Trolls (2016)

The cast of The Trolls

THE HAPPY WORLD OF THE HAPPY CREATURES
Dreamworks offered once again a movie that didn't just stir the minds of Generation Z but also all the generations that come before it. This movie, "The Trolls", is a happy movie that truly and surely colored the lives of everyone who watched it.
Always spread positive vibes!
Inspired by the tall-haired troll dolls that first became popular in the 1960s, Walt Dhorn and Mike Mitchell successfully designed a movie that promotes happiness, acceptance of one's self, optimism, camaraderie and love among its viewers.

The story revolves around the lives of the happy creatures called the "trolls". These creatures mainly focus on the positive and bright side of life. They all live in a happy forest, and they sing songs that spread happiness, joy, and bliss to the members of their happy kingdom. They also hug a lot! They have colorful long hair that whips back and forth.

However, the "trolls", just like humans, also have their fair share of struggles, agony, and misery. Their colorful, harmonious, and peaceful living is continuously haunted by the Bergens, creepy creatures that seek for happiness by eating the "trolls". The Bergens are the complete opposite of the Trolls. They are dull creatures that believed in their notion that they could only be happy if they'd be able to eat the happy creatures. This is where the conflict arises. The friends of the happiest born troll, Princess Poppy, were caught by the chef of the Bergens. With this dilemma, the trolls, spearheaded by Princess Poppy, were all up for a journey in saving the happy creatures of the happy forests. Their journey signifies the importance of unity in attaining the group's common goal. Although they are divided with different perspectives in life, they all agreed to consider each other's imperfections, flaws and differences.

Chef of the Bergens
In totality, this movie is truly a jam-packed of color, positive vibrance, cuteness, adventure, comedy, agony, unity, and morals that are worthy to be embraced by its viewers. The theme songs and lighting that were used truly contributed a positive effect on the totality of the movie. The voices of the lead actress (Anna Kendrick) who played the role of Princess Poppy, and lead actor (Justin Timberlake) who played the role of Branchy, the grumpy best friend of the princess, added excitement and life to
the movie.

Love one another!
For 92 minutes, the eyes of its viewers were truly magnified of all the colors and glitters that are thrown to the audience. Indeed, this movie simply reminds us to always look at the bright side despite of all the challenges, struggles, and obstacles that life has to offer to us.

  2. Well, I had no idea about the existence of this movie. I am glad I came across this post. I must forward this post to all my friends who probably have no idea about it. We like to watch new movies and series a lot and therefore, we have added shows by Andy Yeatman to the watch list.
